Pick up from Hotel and drive through the lush Kikuyu farmlands to Aberdare Country Club. Arrive for lunch. Afternoon transfer to The Ark – A tree hotel set high on stilts overlooking an illuminated water hole and salt lick where animals come to drink. Meals and overnight at The Ark / Similar.
After breakfast, depart and drive through Isiolo town to semi arid Samburu Game Reserve. Arrive for lunch and afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge / Similar.
Full day spent in the park with morning and afternoon game drive. Samburu is home to the rare northern species including the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, grevy’s zebra and the Somali ostrich besides other common animal and bird species. Meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge / Similar.
Breakfast and depart semi arid Samburu to the Kikuyu farmlands. Arrive at Mount Kenya Safari Club for lunch. Set on the lush lower slopes of Mount Kenya, this club offers a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the facilities the club has to offer including heated swimming pool, tennis, horse riding, putting green, trout fishing and art gallery. Dinner and overnight at Mount Kenya Safari Club.
After breakfast, descend into the Great Rift Valley floor to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive for lunch and afternoon game drive. Besides the numerous flamingoes at the Lake, this park is also home to a variety of game including the common and defassa waterbucks, the rhino. Meals and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, continue through the Rift Valley floor via Narok town to Kenya’s famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Mara is home to the “Big Five†..elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, hippo, impala, gazelle and numerous other wildlife including many hundreds of species of birds. Return to your Lodge at sundown for Dinner and Overnight. Meals and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.
This morning, you will be awakened at dawn and after a cup of tea or coffee you’ll set out at sunrise on an early morning game drive. The Mara is magical in the morning: the birds are singing, the morning air smells fresh and cool and the wildlife is just waking up to greet the day. Zebra’s frolic and greet each other, a pair of jackals prance through the grass in search of mice or a rabbit, baboons chatter noisily and curious giraffe watch you as they nibble on their breakfast of acacia leaves. You may even come upon a family feeding together on last night’s kill, or a leopard snoozing in a tree. Return to your Lodge for a sumptuous buffet breakfast. Lunch. Afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at Keekorok Lodge
After breakfast, depart and drive back to Nairobi arriving in the early afternoon hours. Transfer to the airport for departure flight or to Nairobi hotel for overnight. |
